The real estate landscape is constantly evolving, and as of today, significant changes to real estate commission rules have taken effect. These new regulations are designed to provide greater transparency and empower both buyers and sellers in the real estate process. At JohnHart Real Estate, we are fully prepared for these changes and remain committed to providing you with the highest level of service.
Under the new rules:
- Listings can no longer use the MLS to offer buyers’ agents a commission.
- Prior to serving you, as your buyer’s agent, I must disclose our fee and obtain your agreement before we tour any homes.
Rest assured, at JohnHart Real Estate, we have anticipated these changes and are fully prepared to continue servicing you with the highest level of professionalism. Our approach remains client-focused, and our commitment to you is stronger than ever. We will work diligently to ensure that you never have to worry about the fee—it’s business as usual.
For our sellers, JohnHart has decided not to predetermine how much you have to pay a buyer’s agent, if anything, until you see an offer. This approach gives you clarity and empowers you to make decisions based on your net proceeds rather than a sense of obligation.
At JohnHart, we’ve always separated ourselves from the sea of sameness by putting our clients first, and these new rules only strengthen our resolve to continue that tradition.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
